Quality Control and Manufacturing Capacity
Incoming material inspection
Culm age, density and flexibility are checked before production starts.
In-process monitoring
Diameter and surface finish are checked through cutting, sanding and drying so the ±0.15 mm tolerance holds across the run.
Final inspection and equipment
Burrs, splinters, straightness and moisture are checked before packing, using metal detectors, moisture analyzers and UV sterilization units.

Using and Storing Bamboo Skewers
Soak and grill
Soak for at least 30 minutes before grilling; two hours or overnight gives the best result. At high heat use carbonized or heavy-duty skewers and keep food moving off the flame. Method: how to soak bamboo sticks.
Storage
Keep sealed in a dry, ventilated place. Detail: storing disposable bamboo utensils.
When to order
Bamboo sugar peaks from April to July, so order between August and March for the lowest mold and weevil risk.

What Bamboo Skewers Does QL Bamboo Supply?
QL Bamboo is a bamboo skewer manufacturer in Nanping, Fujian, with over 16 years of export experience and its own bamboo forest. We supply Moso bamboo skewers from 2.0 mm to 6.0 mm diameter and 100 mm to 400 mm length, including flat, knotted, blunt-tip and corn skewers. All skewers are food grade, LFGB and SGS tested, disposable and compostable, and can be supplied with custom logo printing, custom sizes and private-label packaging from 100 cartons.
How QL Bamboo Produces Bamboo Skewers
1. Cutting
Skewers are cut from Moso bamboo culms to the agreed length.
2. Sanding and polishing
Multi-stage sanding removes surface roughness, then manual inspection removes residual burrs and splinters.
3. Optional bleaching or carbonization
Bleaching produces a lighter natural colour; carbonization is used for heat-resistant grilling skewers.
4. Drying
Drying to the specified moisture level is what makes the diameter tolerance of ±0.15 mm achievable.
5. Fumigation and quarantine treatment
Fumigation treatment protects finished goods from pests during storage and shipping.
6. Sorting and grading
Sticks are sorted by length, diameter and colour grade.
7. Counting and packing
Counted into inner packs of 50, 100 or 200 pcs, then packed into custom bags, boxes or cartons.
8. Lot marking and inspection
Each lot is marked with a traceable lot number and checked against the order specification before shipment. Details in QL QC system.
